Ah. I did some work for the Greyspine family not long ago. I'm cashing in a favor they owe me to have some conversation.

[Percy is neatly cutting into his; Vox Machina may be a hurricane of mayhem, but he at least tries when he's on his own. But he stops to look up to Tolovir before back down.]

We originally went looking for an ally that had disappeared down there at the behest of a friend. In order to be allowed down, the Greyspine family asked us to clear out whatever was plaguing their mines making it impossible to work.

My group and I went down and... Definitely cleaned up.

Yes. Well. They've been successfully mining again, and they owe us a favor. So I'm using it.

If you cleared out an entire army of ilithids, I'd say a favor is the least he can do. Yes.

[Honestly maybe it's not the worst bacon and eggs. It definitely isn't good, but maybe not the worst.]

Anyway, I don't see any reason they shouldn't let you through. [If Tolovir is being honest. His insight's usually correct, but it never hurts to be cautious.]

[ Tolovir doesn't seem the type to lie outright, at least. Just not always forthcoming. ]

Kidnapping is a minor exaggeration, but it's not as though I had another option at the time. My cottage had been burned to the ground. And they were insistent on taking me with them.
